Faith Based Community Initiative - The Early Literacy Project: Little Free Libraries for Churces & Communities

Faith-Based Community Initiative (FBCI) is a county-wide effort designed to strengthen the role of faith-based organizations in preparing children to enter school ready to learn and succeed. First 5 San Joaquin is excited to partner with faith organizations interested in becoming “advocates for early literacy”. More than any other single skill, the ability to read—and read well—allows a child to succeed in school. Through this initiative, faith organizations will be equipped with the information and materials needed to cultivate a love of reading in their congregations and communities. View more information.
